The Echo of Your Words Community Storytelling Project
The Tidewater Community Writing Center has partnered with the Peninsula Task Force on Aging to launch The Echo of Your Words community storytelling project.
We invite older adults (60+) living in the Hampton Roads to submit stories about your life and your legacy for future generations. These stories will be collected and published for a public audience.
Take a moment to preserve the memories! Whether they are full-blown memoirs or more modest sketches or vignettes, we invite you to tell your life stories. Collecting and sharing these personal histories gives you the ability to share memories and values to future generations.

Stories will be collected until Oct. 15, 2023.
Monthly Resume Workshop at Hampton Public Library
Every first Monday of the month, join us at the Hampton Public Library (Main) for a Resume Workshop. This workshop provides hands-on instruction with resume-writing. Each participant will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a trained volunteer consultant to talk through ideas and receive feedback on resume drafts.
If you have a draft of your current resume, please bring it; however, a resume draft is not required to participate in this workshop.
Workshop will take place at the Hampton Public Library, located at 4207 Victoria Blvd, Hampton, VA 23669.
Please RSVP using this link.
Resume workshops end in May 2022. If you would like to request a resume workshop, please email us!
